Fair usage policy

Ghissu's AI features, such as answer evaluation, model answers, Ghissu Bull and visualizations, cost us money every time they run. So every plan includes a monthly AI allowance. It is set so that almost every student never reaches it, and this page explains how it works.

1. What is limited, and what is not

Only AI features count toward the allowance. Everything else on Ghissu is unlimited on every paid plan:

• Previous year question banks, practice and mock tests.
• The Library, revision sheets, and the model answers and explanations already written for every PYQ.
• Your progress, streaks, bookmarks and notes.

2. The allowance on each plan

• Pro has two monthly allowances: one for Pro tools (answer evaluation, model answers for any question, maps, visualizations, notes scanning, audiobooks and podcasts) and one for Ghissu Bull and search, five times larger than Basic's. The Pro tools allowance is enough for an answer evaluation every day, with room for the other tools.
• Basic covers UPSC Prelims and the state prelims, with a monthly allowance for Ghissu Bull. Mains exams and Pro tools are not part of Basic.
• Free trial has one allowance for all AI features across the 7 days, so you can try everything, including answer evaluation.

Different features use the allowance at different rates. An answer evaluation uses much more than a chat with Ghissu Bull, and a spoken reply from Bull uses more than a written one.

3. When it resets

Your allowance resets on your billing date each month, not on the first of the month. Unused allowance does not carry over. Upgrading from Basic to Pro starts a new billing month with a fresh allowance straight away.

4. How you will know

We do not show a meter while you study. When you have used most of an allowance, you will see a notice in the app and receive an email. You can check how much is left at any time under Menu → Your plan.

5. When an allowance runs out

• The AI features that draw on it pause until your reset date. Everything else keeps working.
• Anything already in progress, such as a booklet being evaluated, is allowed to finish.
• On Basic, you can upgrade to Pro to continue immediately.
• On Pro, you can buy a refill (section 6) or wait for your reset date.
• On the free trial, choosing a plan starts it immediately with a fresh allowance.

6. Refills (Pro only)

• Pro subscribers can buy a refill to keep using AI features before their reset date.
• Refills never expire. Unused refill stays on your account from month to month.
• A refill is used only after your monthly allowance is finished.
• A refill can be used only while you are on Pro. If you leave Pro, it stays on your account and is available again when you return.

7. Personal use

Plans are for one student's own preparation. Sharing an account, evaluating other people's answers, reselling access, or using automated tools against Ghissu is not allowed, and may lead to suspension under our Terms & Conditions.

8. Changes to this policy

We may adjust allowances as our costs change. We will tell you before any reduction takes effect for your plan.
