Terms & conditions
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all users of Ghissu, accessed via the website ghissu.com. The Service is operated by Sricharan Vegireddi (Sole Proprietor) from India (“Ghissu”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Ghissu is an online preparation workspace for UPSC and State Public Service Commission (PSC) exams. The Service provides syllabus-organized previous-year question banks, AI-powered answer evaluation, AI model answers, test creation from uploaded PDFs, map generation, notes, topper-answer search, and related study tools. Specific features available to you depend on the plan you have subscribed to. Ghissu is a digital-only service; no physical products are sold.
Current scope: The Service currently supports UPSC Mains General Studies and UPSC Prelims. Additional exam verticals (UPSC Optional subjects, State PCS exams, and others) are not yet part of the Service and will launch separately. See Section 5 for how scope affects your subscription.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during sign-up, and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at hello@ghissu.com.
3. Early access and waitlist
The Service is currently in early access and accessible by application only. Anyone may submit a waitlist application; we review applications for fit and may decline at our discretion. Approval grants access to create an account at our then-current early-bird pricing. Submission of a waitlist application does not guarantee acceptance. We may decline applications, revoke pending invitations, or remove an account at any time if we determine the use of the Service is incompatible with these Terms or with the integrity of the early-access program.
4. Use of information
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described there.
5. Scope, subscriptions, and early-bird pricing
Scope of your subscription
A Pro subscription provides access to the Service's features for the exam scope available in Ghissu at the time of your subscription — currently UPSC Mains GS and UPSC Prelims. Additional exam verticals we launch in the future (UPSC Optional subjects, State PCS exams, or others) may be offered as separate paid add-ons or distinct plans, at prices set at the time of their launch. Your existing subscription does not automatically extend to new verticals.
Early-bird pricing
Users who subscribe during early access receive early-bird pricing (currently ₹999/month or ₹8,991/year for Pro). Early-bird pricing remains in effect for your active subscription unless we revise pricing in the future. Like any subscription service, we may adjust pricing over time; if we do, we will notify subscribers at least 30 days in advance, the new price will take effect from your next billing renewal, and you may cancel before that date if you do not wish to continue at the new rate. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, the prevailing rate at re-subscription applies. Early-bird pricing does not apply to new exam verticals introduced after your subscription begins.
Billing terms
- Paid plans are billed monthly, every 6 months or yearly, as selected at checkout. Plan pricing is shown on the Pricing page and may include applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal.
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing; access to paid features continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. By paying for the Service you also agree to Razorpay's applicable terms.
- If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access to paid features until the issue is resolved.
AI usage capacity
Pro includes a generous monthly allowance of AI usage (answer evaluations, model answers, maps, chat, notes, and other AI features), sized to comfortably cover normal preparation. This allowance resets on your billing date each month, and unused allowance does not roll over. Exact limits may vary with the model used and request size, and may be adjusted over time with notice. If you reach your monthly allowance on Pro, you may continue by purchasing an optional refill: AI usage draws from your monthly allowance first and from a refill only after it is exhausted. Refills never expire and stay on your account, but can be used only while you are on Pro. See our Fair Usage Policy.
6. Refunds and credit packs
Refunds, credit pack terms, and cancellation rights are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: every account starts with a free 7-day trial, and subscription payments and refills are non-refundable, except for duplicate, failed or incorrect charges; refills never expire.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials, resell access, or allow more than one person to use a single account.
- Scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract data or source code from the Service.
- Upload or generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or harmful.
- Attempt to disrupt the Service, overload servers, or gain unauthorized access to any account or system.
- Use the Service to compete with us by building or training a substantially similar product.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and report serious violations to the appropriate authorities.
8. User content
You retain ownership of content you upload to or generate through the Service — practice answers, notes, PDFs, AI prompts, evaluations, and similar materials (“User Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your User Content and do not use it to train third-party AI models.
9. AI-generated content and usage limits
Several features of the Service use artificial intelligence models provided by third parties, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google AI. AI-generated outputs — including evaluations, model answers, explanations, and summaries — are provided to assist your preparation and may contain errors, omissions, or factual inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated information before relying on it for the actual examination or any other consequential decision. Ghissu makes no warranty that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
Paid plans include a monthly capacity for AI-powered features. Once that capacity is exhausted, additional usage may be purchased as one-time credit packs, governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Capacity allocations and credit pricing may be adjusted with notice to reflect changes in underlying provider costs.
10. Ownership of rights
All rights, including copyright, in the Service — its design, source code, branding, original content, illustrations, and trademarks — are owned by or licensed to Ghissu. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, redistribute, or use any part of the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. “Ghissu” and associated marks are our exclusive property.
11. Consent and policy changes
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service after these Terms are updated, you provide informed consent to be bound by the current version. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
12. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect the Service and your data, including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure password handling via our authentication provider. We acknowledge that no security system can prevent every potential breach.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, nor do we guarantee any particular outcome — including selection, ranking, or score — in any examination. Use of the Service is entirely at your own discretion and risk.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ghissu and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by writing to hello@ghissu.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your continued use poses a security or fraud risk, or if continuing to provide the Service to you becomes impractical for us.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Rajam, Andhra Pradesh.
